Welcome to Load+Go. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Load+Go website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Load+Go, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.


1. About Load+Go

Load+Go is a peer-to-peer delivery platform that connects:

  • Senders – individuals or businesses who require items to be transported; and
  • Drivers – independent contractors who use their own vehicles to complete deliveries.

Load+Go facilitates bookings, payments, and communication between Senders and Drivers. Load+Go does not itself provide transport services.


2. Eligibility

To use Load+Go:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information.
  • Drivers must hold a valid New Zealand driver licence and operate a road-legal vehicle with current WOF and registration.
  • Drivers must pass Load+Go’s vetting process before accepting jobs.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.


3. Nature of the Service

3.1 Independent Contractors

Drivers are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or partners of Load+Go.

Load+Go:

  • Does not control how Drivers perform deliveries.
  • Is not responsible for the acts or omissions of Drivers.
  • Does not guarantee the availability of any Driver.

3.2 No Transport Carrier Status

Load+Go operates as a technology platform only and is not a transport operator, freight carrier, courier company, or logistics provider.


4. Sender Terms

4.1 Quotes and Pricing

  • Quotes are based on item size and actual road distance.
  • All pricing is displayed upfront before booking.
  • Optional extras (e.g., second helper, stairs access, priority pickup) are clearly shown prior to confirmation.
  • No hidden fees or surge pricing apply.

The quoted price is the total payable unless additional services are requested and agreed.

4.2 Payments

  • A 20% deposit (minimum $20) is required to secure a booking.
  • The remaining balance is payable upon confirmed delivery.
  • Payments are processed via secure third-party payment providers.
  • Load+Go does not store full card details.

Failure to pay may result in account suspension.

4.3 Item Eligibility

Senders may only list items that:

  • Are legal to transport in New Zealand.
  • Fit within the selected vehicle category.
  • Are accurately described in size, weight, and condition.

Prohibited items include (but are not limited to):

  • Dangerous goods or hazardous materials
  • Illegal substances
  • Weapons
  • Perishable goods without prior agreement
  • Live animals

Load+Go reserves the right to cancel any booking involving prohibited items.

4.4 Insurance Responsibility

Senders are responsible for arranging appropriate insurance cover.

If:

  • The Sender still owns the item, coverage may fall under their home contents insurance.
  • The item has been sold, the purchaser should arrange insurance.

Load+Go does not guarantee insurance coverage for Senders unless otherwise explicitly stated.

4.5 Access and Accuracy

Senders must ensure:

  • Safe and lawful access at pickup and delivery locations.
  • Accurate details are provided.
  • Someone is available to release and receive the item (unless agreed otherwise).

Additional fees may apply for undisclosed stairs, difficult access, or incorrect item descriptions.


5. Driver Terms

5.1 Driver Obligations

Drivers must:

  • Hold a valid NZ driver licence.
  • Maintain current WOF and registration.
  • Operate their vehicle lawfully and safely.
  • Provide accurate vehicle and identity information.
  • Comply with all New Zealand road and transport laws.

Drivers are responsible for their own tax obligations, fuel costs, vehicle expenses, and business compliance.

5.2 Acceptance of Jobs

Drivers:

  • May accept or decline any job.
  • Are not required to meet minimum delivery targets.
  • Must complete accepted jobs professionally and within agreed timeframes.

Repeated cancellations or poor performance may result in account suspension.

5.3 Payments to Drivers

  • Drivers keep 100% of the delivery payment.
  • No commissions or subscription fees are charged.
  • Payments are processed weekly to the nominated NZ bank account.
  • Payment is released once delivery is confirmed complete.

Load+Go may withhold payment in the event of a dispute pending investigation.

5.4 Insurance

Where stated on the Platform, deliveries may be covered under Load+Go’s policy during the active transport period (from pickup to confirmed delivery).

Drivers must:

  • Comply with policy conditions.
  • Report incidents promptly.
  • Provide required documentation.

Failure to follow procedures may void coverage.


6. Tracking & Communication

The Platform may provide:

  • Real-time GPS tracking
  • In-app messaging
  • Driver contact details

Users must use communication features respectfully. Harassment, abuse, or misuse may result in suspension.


7. Cancellations & Refunds

7.1 Sender Cancellations

  • Deposits may be refundable if cancelled before a Driver accepts.
  • If cancelled after acceptance, cancellation fees may apply.
  • No refund will be provided for completed deliveries.

7.2 Driver Cancellations

Drivers should only cancel for legitimate reasons (e.g., safety concerns, misrepresented load). Excessive cancellations may affect account status.


8. Disputes

If an issue arises (damage, delay, access issues):

  1. Users must notify Load+Go promptly.
  2. Drivers are encouraged to take photos at pickup and delivery.
  3. Load+Go will review evidence and facilitate a fair resolution.

Load+Go’s decision on platform-related disputes is final, subject to applicable New Zealand law.


9. Ratings & Driver Levels

Drivers are rated after deliveries.

Driver levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) are determined by completed jobs and may affect visibility on the Platform.

Load+Go reserves the right to adjust ranking criteria at any time.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • Load+Go is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
  • Load+Go’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific delivery in dispute.
  • Load+Go is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or events outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.


11. User Conduct

You must not:

  • Provide false information.
  • Attempt to bypass the Platform to avoid payment.
  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for breaches.


12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy.

We collect and process personal information to:

  • Facilitate bookings
  • Verify identities
  • Process payments
  • Improve services

By using Load+Go, you consent to this processing in accordance with New Zealand privacy law.


13. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, logos, and technology are owned by Load+Go.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without written permission.


14. Modifications to the Service

Load+Go may:

  • Modify features
  • Change pricing structures
  • Add or remove service areas
  • Update these Terms

Updated Terms will be published on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.


15. Termination

Load+Go may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Safety concerns
  • Repeated complaints or misconduct

Users may close their account at any time.


16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
